Hi, I’m Luke.
I’m a deliberate thinker with an approachable demeanor, skilled in framing complex problems, ideating solutions, and driving clear communication. My ability to analyze critically, empathize deeply, and execute swiftly has defined my path as a multi-disciplinary creative.
As a UX Designer at Horizontal Digital, I partner with clients across e-commerce, telecommunications, and the arts to create digital experiences that are clear, intuitive, and impactful. Grounding my work in user research, data analytics, and customer insights, I design solutions that drive business growth.
Cross-functional collaboration is at the core of my practice. I work closely alongside strategists, content experts, business analysts, and engineers to ensure every solution is both user-centered and technically sound.
Previously as a Product Designer atOurFamilyWizardand Cozi, I translated the complex needs of children, co-parents, and family professionals into intuitive digital tools. In addition to delivering high-quality, accessible designs across web, iOS, and Android platforms, I helped scale the design team, contributed to our multi-brand design system, and mentored fellow designers.
When I’m not designing, I am an active drummer, percussionist, and producer.
My Process
I do not believe in any one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to product design. Each project has a unique set of constraints, considerations, and competing priorities that all need to be handled with care. In some cases, upfront discovery and strategy is needed to help define a user problem. In others, a heavy focus on design iterations helps determine the best path forward.
Over the years as a designer and musician, I’ve learned that perfectionism is the enemy of progress. I guide my team towards a spirit of iteration and learning from users through qualitative and quantitative research methods.
