OurFamilyWizard is a leading co-parenting app with over 20 years of experience and a growing base of 300,000+ users. In 2020, a Spectrum Equity investment sparked major transformation, including the acquisition of Cozi, a family organization app with 1.3 million users.

From 2021–2024, I designed much of OurFamilyWizard’s authenticated platform across web, iOS, and Android—leading the UX/UI for core features like Messages and Calls, and contributing to Calendar, Expenses, and file management. I also directed design for Cozi across all platforms.

Strategic Milestones I’ve achieved:

• Design Team Building: I helped the company transition from a design team of one (myself) to a design team of four, ensuring that those we hired were a good fit for the organization and had the skills required to succeed. I also established a weekly design review practice with our team to ensure we routinely deliver the best possible designs to our teams.

• Product Team Building: I helped Cozi transition from a Marketing-driven framework to a Product-driven framework within three months.

• Redesign & Rebranding: I helped orchestrate a comprehensive redesign & rebrand of our applications on all platforms.

• Trauma-Informed Design: I introduced the concept of Trauma Informed Design and continue to guide our team to consider these principles in all aspects of our designs.

• Mentorship: I provide design mentorship to our team and work with stakeholders to help direct the strategy of design at the company.

Tactical Milestones I’ve achieved:

• Navigation Redesign: Redesigned our primary navigation on all platforms, greatly increasing usability.

• OurFamilyWizard Calls: I researched & led design for the leading market initiative for OurFamilyWizard, Calls (View Here)

• Cozi Mobile Month View: I researched & led design for the leading market initiative for Cozi, mobile month view.

• Design System: I created and maintained our Design System for web, iOS, and Android, increasing our developers’ workflows and speed to market.

• UX Research: I spearheaded routine user research & survey best practices for our team and developed a system for sustainably documenting and sorting insights.
